Our Anniversary #63

Us about `1951Summer, 1951

I’m wearing a necklace David gave me that year  to celebrate our “going steady” . The silver pendant has my name on one side and David’s on the other. I still have it, of course.

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

  1. You have had a great week of celebration and glad you end the week celebrating with your family. And added to all that you created a selfie. Who said can’t learn something new!

  2. Congratulations, Adele and David, on 63 very blessed married years together! I love you both dearly! I feel like I’ve known you both all my life – oh, wait – I HAVE known you both all my life! . And, lucky me, for sure!!! 😍

  3. I’m so proud of both of you. You’re such wonderful, Godly people. You are the best parents in the world!! I love you both.

  4. Happy Anniversary my dear sweet friends! You are a blessing to all that know you and such a wonderful Christian example! xoxo

  5. Brings back a lot of memories; we were both poor but hopeful and had decided it would be much better to be poor together than poor apart. We took our honeymoon in a borrowed car but had a memorable time in New Braunfels for our short honeymoon. It was wonderful and still is.

  6. I see Keith in the photo of David!! Also didn’t know (or remember) that Uncle Buddy did the wedding. Photo of the necklace, please.
