All MY LOVES
The Lord Jesus Christ
All my artwork and writings are dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ.
My life verse is Colossians 3:17
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
For many years my main joy has been studying and teaching the Word of God, the Holy Bible. I want to use my art to enhance and illustrate the message in my writings.
My Family
My husband, David, and I have been married for 69 years (Our anniversary is on October 17.) We have been blessed with three children along the way: Kevan, Keith and Karen. In due time they all became believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Kevan is now with the Lord in heaven.
We are the ridiculously proud Grandparents of seven wonderful young people: Emily, Alex (Grandson-in-Law), Stephen, Shelby (Granddaughter-in-Law), Gavin, Julia, Stan (Grandson-in-Law), and three adorable Great-Granddaughters and two precious Great-Grandsons. We are so blessed! In the photo below, taken in 2019, we were celebrating Christmas, and my birthday, at Moody Gardens Hotel on Galveston Island, Texas. We’ve gathered there several years for the event. Fun times!
My Writing
Over the past ten years I have written and taught four 10-12 week Bible studies for women at our church. On the fateful day of September 11, 2001, I began my very first home Bible class. All went well and it continued for 14 years.
My Art
My oil painting palette
I enjoy sketching with pen and ink, charcoal, or plain old graphite pencil, but my real interest is color, the more vivid the better. I use watercolors, oil or acrylics for my paintings. I’ve even used fine art markers, which are a lot of fun. I have posted a few of my paintings on this blog on the page titled, Adele’s Paintings.
I’m always very interested in sketching, and have an “Adele’s Daily Sketchbook” album on my Facebook page.
My father was an accomplished professional illustrator and fine art painter, which gave me a childhood surrounded by beautiful art and expert training. He was my first teacher….and he was demanding. Having fun was not in his curriculum. I eventually held several jobs working in commercial illustration studios and later in my own freelance studio.
I studied art at the University of Houston-Main Campus, the University of Texas at Austin, and graduated from the Art Institute of Houston.
Last but certainly not the least….My Friends, especially you wonderful followers of my blog. Thank you for being so supportive.
‘Til He Shouts!
(1 Thessalonians 4:16)

Hi Tee. Thanks for letting me know you have one of my Father’s drawings. It is yours to keep or to give to someone. Thanks again.
Thanks, Elizabeth. I’m excited to get started. It will be a BIG challenge.
