My New Year resolution for February is about grace; where does it come from, how do I live it out in my life, can I be like Him who is full of grace and truth; how does imputed grace affect others in my life?

“Grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever! Amen”.

A brief Google search showed that the word grace appears 206 times in the King James Version of the Holy Bible. Grace is used in many different ways in the Bible. But the one I want to focus on this month involves how I serve Him and relate to others……what is in my heart.

Romans 12:6 teaches me that my Lord has given me grace. I have not earned it. It is a gift that enables me to be effective in my life as I serve Him. Since it is a gift that I have by my faith in Him, I want to use it, live it and show it.

The verse I selected for February tells me right away how to begin to grow in grace; I must have knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There it is! The more I know about our Lord, the more I love Him. To know Him I must read His Word….over and over, and daily if possible. I have heard we eventually begin to act and think like the person we associate with the most. I find Him and associate with Him in His Word and my worship. I want to be like Him…as much as He will allow.

I won’t focus on everything grace is and means but how I can use it this month and beyond; all for His glory and to bless those around me.
