I painted 30 paintings in 30 days in the month of September 2015.
This is my fifth 30-in-30 challenge and each time I have completed it, I promise myself never to do it again. But who knows? There is something about making such a big commitment and following through that pleases me. I guess I’m just plain proud. There were over 1000 women worldwide participating in this challenge. There are no prizes, no recognition, no fame….just the satisfaction of completing a difficult task and at the same time learning more about painting.
Each day we posted our painting on our own website and/or blog and on Leslie Saeta’s blog; she is our “Leader” and the originator of the challenge. To see her page, click HERE. This gave each of us a much larger audience for our work and the fun of looking at the art of the other artists posted there. Leslie encourages us to post our day’s painting on our website, blog, Facebook page, Instagram, Pinterest or Twitter….or on all of them.
I posted the first six days of paintings on my blog earlier, so you have probably already seen them up close. I painted the first 12 in acrylic and the last 18 in watercolor, but I’ll save the watercolors for another blog. Here are the 6 acrylic paintings (the second row) which I have not posted before up close on my blog:
“View From the High Road, San Cristobal, New Mexico”
and
“The Ship Channel at Galveston Island, Texas”
After completing the first 12 days I decided to switch to watercolors to complete the challenge. But that’s for my next blog.
Impressive – your paintings and you! You know I love our work.
Thank you, Donna. It was fun but stressful at times. Thinking up new concepts can become difficult after about two weeks.
Another exceptional accomplishment! I’m really glad that you finished out the month! You contribute such beauty to the world through your many talents. 🙂
What a nice thing to say. Thank you, Becky.
Kudos, Adele!! GW
It was fun but it kept me busy. Thank you for reading.
Congratulations on a beautiful month Adele 🙂 Best wishes and happy painting to you 🙂
Thank you, Sheila. I enjoyed looking at your blog and your beautiful sunflower paintings. Good work.
Absolutely beautiful!! I was very excited to see the ones you hadn’t posted yet. I’m so proud of you. You not only completed a challenging task, the creative end result is wonderful. Well done.
I love you
Thank you, Karen. It was difficult but rewarding. I love you, too.
What? Is it end of another month? Where does time go? You can proudly say this is what I have done, using the talents God has given me. Again, this was my favorite 30 day series.
Yes, Kathy, this is the last day of September. At first I wanted to laugh, but realized you were complimenting my. I’m glad you enjoyed this 30-in-30. Thanks. I want to use the talents God has given me, but it’s up to Him to use them as He will but I have no idea how He plans to do that.
Congratulations!
